Charis Mair. Recent achievements
Dear Mr President.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and the Rotary Club of Inverness for the generous and much appreciated funding that was awarded to my daughter Charis last week. Since then, Charis has competed in the Scottish National Championships held at the new athletics stadium at Scotstoun, Glasgow 14 & 15 August. Charis had a very successful week-end securing a Bronze medal in the under 17 womens High Jump with a clearance of 1.60m. On Sunday she competed in the under17 womens 80m hurdles and again won bronze with a time of 12.07secs. Charis has three more events over the next few weeks and that will draw to a close the track and field season for this year. Winter training will commence early September with various development and training sessions being held in the Central belt as well as usual circuit training at Millburn Academy and Queens Park. I will endeavour to keep you informed of Charis's progress and achievements in the future. Thank you once again. Alan Mair

Rotary Schools Quiz
Hello, my son was part of the balloch school quiz team at the two events you hosted at charleston academy recently.

I would be grateful if you could pass on our thanks to everyone involved in organising the events.

I was very impressed with how organised the events were on the night, with all the support for the teams. The round by round scores were very efficient and exciting.

As parents and grandparents, we enjoyed the event too, and it livened up some family quiz time at home too.

I wasn't really sure who the rotarians were before, but thanks to the event I am now clearer about the organisation and very impressed with the good work you are doing.

So, thank you for a very enjoyable and educational event which both kids and families benefitted from.

Best wishes

Dear President and fellow rotarians I am from the Beecroft Rotary Club in NSW Australia. We would like to propose a toast on the Club's activities, history etc at our club meeting on 22nd MArch.

It would be appreciated if you could email me some information of Rotary Club of Inverness so that we can recognise your club here in Australia

Many thanks

Hi Raimund,

Thank you for your message and enquiring about the Rotary Club of Inverness. We are the 'oldest' Club in Inverness having recently celebrated our 80th anniversary. We have 72 members of varying age from 30s to 80s and a couple of active female members (although we would like more). You already have access to our website - which gives you a flavour of some of the things we get up to. This is a relatively new venture for us - I have been 'volunteered' as web master, but my IT skills are very limited (and being self taught have had a very poor teacher!) Rotary is very active in Inverness - there are over 200 Rotarians in 4 Clubs - so you can attend meetings on Tuesdays, Wednesdays(7:30 am OR pm) and Thursdays. Please extend our best wishes from President Jim Robb and our Members to your President and Club.
